Working with Glass

I fell in love with glass years ago.  I love the color, the vibrancy, the transparency.  Recently I became aware of the parallels of the characteristics of glass to color slides and Polaroid emulsion transfers.  I decided to learn cold glass so I could try and merge the emulsion transfers with the glass.  Along the way, I decided I liked designing windows and working with glass as much as I like capturing and creating photographic images.

Custom Designs

I use a CAD program called GlassEye to design my stained glass panels.  It allows me to easily create multiple versions, to show my clients close approximations of what their panel will look like, to quickly "try-out" different glass within the pattern, etc.  There are fewer surprises both for me and for my clients.  All of my designs are conceived and created as a collaboration between the limitations and characteristics of the medium, the artistic interpretation of the piece, the client's desires, and my abilities.

Below are a few photographs of the commissions I have been honored to complete.  I change these images periodically, so please check back in the future to see what I my clients have worked with me to create.  Please remember that all images are copy written.  If you want to use them in any way, please contact me first.
